Get Oregonized
Get Oregonized is a 4th grade student history book focusing on Oregon's people, natural resources, and agriculture.

Spring 2010 Literacy Event

AITC's Literacy Project helps improve both the literacy of Oregon's young readers and their knowledge of agriculture. The 2010 book ‘Til the Cows Come Home' is a delightful cowboy interpretation of the time-honored folktale The Button Story. The tale finds new life on a cattle ranch in the American West with a resourceful cowboy and a special piece of leather “smooth as silk and tough as a tornado.” The leather transforms from a pair of chaps, to a vest, to gloves, and more. The book weaves in cattle, agriculture, the environment, recycling and American history. Learn how to bring this program to your school or be a volunteer.
